Childproofing the Living Area

Most plants are poisonous and present a choking hazard. Block access or move to “out-of-bounds” areas.

Look out for pet toys – they may not be safe for children.

Move coffee table further away from couch or drape blanket over the table when children are around

All blind cords should be up and out of reach.

Wicker from baskets can come loose and become a choking hazard. Keep an eye on your wicker baskets and keep loose ends trimmed.

Wax candles should be out of reach.
